South Thompson

Core Nickel’s South Thompson properties cover the north and south Ospwagan Synform, characterized by ample strike length of the target Pipe Formation associated with known historical nickel intercepts and nickel deposits. The properties are near infrastructure such as highway access, powerlines, and an existing mill (Bucko Mill). Overburden on the southern properties is approximately 20 metres on average.

Halfway Lake Project Location

  • Halfway Lake is 100% owned by Core Nickel.
  • The project consists of 19 mineral claims license for a total of 4,154 ha of land.
  • Halfway Lake is strategically located 12 km northeast of Waboden, Manitoba

History

Project Potential

  • The Halfway Lake property covers the north and the South of the Ospwagan synform, which includes ample strike length of the Pipe Formation associated with nickel mineralization.
  • High priority targets have been delineated proximal to known nickel mineralization from an airborne aeromagnetic survey completed by CanAlaska in 2022.
  • Known mineralization on and adjacent to the property shows that it has the potential for nickel deposits similar to Thompson, Birchtree or Pipe deposits.

Future Work

  • Future work will consist of airborne or ground electromagnetic surveys followed by a diamond drilling program.
